Dear Chicago House,
Here is fun desk accessory you could make as a last minute gift.
Over the years Chicago teen has amassed quite a collection of pencils and a clear out of a kitchen junk draw recently, spurred me on to use them to create something a little more beautiful.
To make this useful, fun desk accessory you will need
- Pencils
- Soup can
- Scrap book paper
- Glue
Start by selecting two coordinating design of scrap book paper. The pencils will look better if a simple small scaled design is used. Cut long rectangle of paper to cover the pencils, you will need the paper to overlap slightly. Simply stick on with any glue you have on hand… I used elmers glue. Then measure the can and stick the scrap book paper both on the outside and inside for a nice finished look.
Pop the pencils in the can and those dull pencils lurking in the back of your kitchen junk draw will have a new lease of life on your desk!
