Dear Chicago House,
I have to say I like to have tables and side tables within your walls where I can plonk down a cup of steaming tea/coffee or an icy delight and not worry about leaving a dreaded “ring”. Some tables really do need a little helping hand, your sibling house in St Louis definitely needs a set of coasters.
So here is a little tutorial on how to make a set of fun coasters from left over tiles.
What you need
Plain tiles
A set of alphabet stickers (scrap booking supplies work well here)
Glass or tile paint
An old rag
What you do
Compose a simple message for your tile with the stickers
Sponge on paint using the rag. I did a number of layers of different color paint to get the effect I wanted. When dry, peel of stickers and whooppee, a funky coaster.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I think those are cute!! What a fun gift to wrap up for Christmas too with some nice coffee/tea. Visiting from Home Stories A to Z. Hope you'll stop by my blog to say hi too. 🙂
This post reminds me of a song I sang back in high school choir – "The Java Jive." Ha! Thanks for sharing this cute craft and for the memory! 🙂
fun fun gift to give to a tea lover or as housewarming.
Don't forget to add it to our weekly party for our readers to discover.

These are so cute (so are your papers, too)….but I am always following bright shiny objects and I had to follow the link to this project.

Greetings! I know this is kind of off topic
but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I'm getting tired of WordPress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
