Dear Chicago House,
I had a rummage though your garage the other day and found three terracotta garden pots that had seen better days. Two of them had been painted long ago with stunning blue cobalt paint but now looked a bit sad.
Inspired by this ancient Ikea pot
I thought it was time for a little paint makeover.
TaaDaa!
They were very easy to paint particularly as I wanted to capture the irregular lines on the Ikea pot and was not at all anal about having everything line up straight!
I used paint leftovers I found in the basement, just regular interior latex paint.
here is one that has had two coats of white.
Then taped up and ready for the green (I recycled my tape)
I sponged on the green and when it was dry went over it with a diluted white to soften the color even more.
I paint two with horizontal lines and one with vertical.
All I need to do now is pot them up with some lovely blooms.

Your pots turned out great! I too have striped some pots. Mine were cheapo plastic ones and it perked them up a bit!
