Dear Chicago House,
We have had such a beautiful September, warm sunny days and cool nights. Our roadside leaf pick up kicks off in a little over two weeks but nothing has really dropped yet … maybe we will have a late Fall and mild winter..wishful thinking…fingers crossed!
I took my watercolor palette outside the other other day and intended painting some leaves…but I ended up “painting leaves” instead!
It was so relaxing, little blobs of white here and there and the odd swirl. I was actually surprised the paint was opaque enough. I used mostly white but added depth with black and reds.
This would be a fun activity to do with kids.

These are beautiful. Living in Florida I won't have any fall leaves to paint, but thank you for sharing.
You could always decorate some shells like these https://vco.lkt.temporary.site/2015/01/getting-creative-with-sharpies-and.html instead!
